"Pick Six" is a new fellowship designed for our Commercial League Pass Partners, aimed at identifying future on-cycle IB talent for freshmen (Class of 2028) seeking Summer 2027 internships and off-cycle IB talent for sophomores (Class of 2027) still pursuing Summer 2026 internships.
The 2025 Pick Six Fellows come from various academic disciplines, all of whom share a keen interest in alternative investments. During the 2025 Spring League Season, approximately 40% of the participants advanced to Phase 2 of the competition.
The top performers, especially those from the Class of 2028, are in an excellent position to secure highly competitive offers for Early Insight Programs or sophomore internships by the end of the calendar year.
Over 50 Pick Six Fellows shared information about their specific fellowship experience with Sixth Street. This not only aids them in making future career decisions but also helps raise standards within our League. Our goals were to showcase successful trends, identify areas for improvement, and highlight best practices and standards through our "5C" framework of career, coaching, community, competition, and curriculum.
Fellows felt that their fellowship experience adequately prepared them for future careers in the alternative investments industry, though they suggested more exposure to daily functions through panels and workshops.
Fellows mentioned that they would have liked more access to Sixth Street professionals, specifically during the team competition. Several suggested pairing each team with a Sixth Street mentor for next year's competition.
Fellows feel that their fellowship experience could have been enhanced by connecting with more professionals at Sixth Street who either played a college sport or were involved in relevant deals such as Bay FC or the SF Giants.
Fellows thoroughly enjoyed their experience working on the case study focused on expanding the women’s soccer ecosystem. They appreciated how intentional Sixth Street was in selecting a case study that aligned with their interests as athletes while also equipping them with a new set of technical skills
Fellows praised the Phase 1 and Phase 2 curriculum, made possible by Sixth Street's partnership. Phase 1 Fellows engaged in three mock interviews using real questions from Sixth Street's interview bank, while Phase 2 Fellows received free Wall Street Prep Accounting Crash Courses.

All Fellows began their Pick Six fellowship journeys in Phase 1, known as the "Individual Competition." During this three-week "regular season," they participated in three rounds of mock interviews. These interviews were scored and evaluated by MAP alumni, with the goal of motivating all Fellows to channel their competitive spirit and secure the #1 spot on our Leaderboard Rankings.
Sponsored by Sixth Street, the Fellows simulated interviews for the role of "2026 Summer Investment Analyst" at the bank. This experience provided insights into Sixth Street's unique offerings and taught our athletes how to pursue specific roles at Sixth Street in the future.
We are confident that the 2025 roster will successfully secure impactful internships in alternative investments, banking, management consulting, and more very soon!
