Launched in 2020, the Make-A-Play Foundation (MAP) is a national nonprofit that reimagines athlete development. We start with what athletes know best — their competitive drive — and transform it into a powerful tool for professional success.
Through our Professional Development Association ("PDA") — the first sports-style professional development league — athletes enter a gamified system of fellowships and real-world business challenges. Here, they don’t just prepare for interviews; they train like pros, with leaderboards, rankings, and “regular season vs. playoffs” competitions that mirror the intensity of athletics.
🏆 Elite athletes. Elite universities. Elite careers.
We teach athletes how to be champions in every arena of life. From the admissions race to the corporate arena, we prepare elite athletes for elite universities — and the elite careers that follow.
At MAP, our Professional Development Association (PDA) is modeled after the world's greatest sports leagues — because the best leagues are home to the best athletes. Competition sharpens talent, raises the stakes, and creates champions. That’s exactly how our system works, with two levels of play: the Major League for college athletes and the Minor League for high school athletes.
⚾ Major League — The big stage. Our 20 annual, corporate-sponsored fellowships give elite college athletes the toughest reps in career prep. Through real-world business challenges, leaderboards, and playoff-style competitions, they gain the skills and exposure to break into the world’s top companies.
🔥 Minor League — The proving ground. Our four university-sponsored fellowships develop elite high school athletes across academic disciplines. Like prospects working their way up the system, these athletes sharpen their game, showcase their strengths, and prepare for admission into the nation’s top universities.

Our 2025 Winter League kicked off in high gear, as 400+ student-athletes across our five winter fellowships—NXT, Formula 1, Women Playmakers, Winter D-League, and Winter X-Games—came together to compete and pursue their professional development goals.
Building on the success of the Winter League, the 2025 Spring League took things to the next level with 250+ scholar-athletes competing across our five spring fellowships—Skills Challenge, Pick Six, Game Managers, Spring D-League, and Senior Bowl—in a series of individual and team competitions.
Fresh off their academic and athletic seasons, ~200 new student-athletes optimized their free time by participating in one of our five summer fellowships—Training Camp, Victory Formation, N.I.L. Summer D-League, and Premier League—eager to prepare for their post-player careers.
We are excited to welcome 250+ new athletes into one of our five fall fellowships: Legacy Bowl, Diamond League, Trade Deadline, Fall D-League, and Overtime Elite. These athletes are eager to transform their athletic experiences into valuable tools for professional success.
