FRONT OFFICE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Thank you for your interest in our Internship Program!

Here at Make A Play, we prepare students and student-athletes for executive careers in competitive industries including sports, entertainment, and beyond. As a part of our mission, we place six undergraduate students into a 10-week summer internship program with a top employer in sports, entertainment, and a myriad of other industries. Each student also receives a $5,000 stipend to support their unpaid internship and commemorate their achievement.

We work to educate and place our students in all areas of the sports and entertainment industry, and focus on six programming tracks in particular:

  • (1) Front Office Operations (Professional Teams, Professional Leagues)

  • (2) Sports Management & Marketing (Sports Agencies, Marketing Firms, etc.)

  • (3) Design, Brand, and Apparel (Sneaker Manufacturers, Sportswear Companies, etc.)

  • (4) Media & Entertainment (Broadcast Journalism, Mass Media, etc.)

  • (5) Coaching and Administration (Youth, Amateur, High School, College Athletics)

  • (6) Business and Legal Affairs (Banks, Consulting Companies, Law Firms etc.)

HOW IT WORKS:

1.) Students apply to our online application and rank their desired industry track and geographical location from most desirable to least desirable.

2.) MAP's HR team then interviews qualifying interns to ensure that our partners receive the best possible internship placement(s).

3.) MAP will select six students for its inaugural internship class and announce where each student "matched" at our Annual Draft Day Banquet.

4.) Selected students will also receive a  MAP Award in the form of a stipend to supplement their summer internship expenses.

5.) Students will be assigned to two MAP coaches before the start of the internship.

6.) Students will also attend a mandatory Mini-Camp before the start of the internship to ensure successful integration into the program.
