Our Training Camp Participants work in teams to prepare for bi-weekly mock interviews with Fortune 500 HR professionals. Our students interview in groups. Since it is unlikely that interviewees will receive feedback about their performance in a real interview setting, conducting mock interviews in groups allows students to receive constructive feedback from their peers—and in a low-stress environment.
D-League Fellows work on cross-functional teams of six to complete group projects each month. We strategically place students on teams with other students with different skills, majors, and career interests to encourage bringing a global perspective to their work. We've designed each group project to develop a different in-demand skill, and teams present their findings at the end of each month for immediate on-the-job skills training. By the end of the D-League, Fellows complete two case studies, create a four-stage project management plan, and much more.
We provide on-going support to our D-League Fellows by way of the Make A Play Players Association (MAPPA). After the D-League, students choose to specialize in one of our six designated tracks; and we place them on new teams with Fellows in the same specialty. Since we've tailored the MAPPA curricula to specific industries, students receive their first taste of working with future colleagues and peers in the same industry.
